Before I started my private practice, I spent several years in an elementary classroom while also leading the school student assistance team. (A team which worked to find the best ways to assist students who were struggling.) I also taught preschool and did individual and group tutoring at a local learning center.
Personally, I am an avid reader of both fiction and non-fiction books as well as I love to write. I enjoy knitting, and I am active member of my church where I serve in the food pantry. I am also a self-proclaimed cat lover, with a grumpy Persian cat named Mia. I enjoy music as well, and I spent 10 years playing flute/piccolo with the Lee’s Summit Symphony Orchestra.
