Why Consulting?

I often hear from parents who are at a loss of what exactly to do to help their struggling learner.

  • Where do I even start to get my child help?
  • My child has a diagnosis but have no idea what to do now.
  • If I have my child evaluated, how do I understand what it means and what accommodations to ask the school to incorporate?

Consultation Details

When we meet (via Zoom) you will gain knowledge that comes from over a decade spent teaching in public schools, and over 15+ years in education. I am also currently a trained Orton Gillingham Reading Interventionist who does one-on-one reading therapy sessions with students who struggle with reading.

Based on what you share some possible ways I can help are:

A Zoom Conference call to help you break down where to start to help your child be a successful reader and learner.

Gather Info & Make Suggestions

Talk through what the evaluation process looks, and if needed, suggest possible accommodations for IEP/504 plans, as well as what to do once you have a diagnosis.

Share any sample resources you could look at using based on what we discuss.

Listen and answer questions and encourage you as the parent to keep on keeping on during this hard journey!

Note: If you start services with me for one-on-one tutoring, within 30 days of consult, I will credit the consult fee toward the price of the first session.
