Is your child struggling with reading, writing, or spelling?

Through 1-1 online (virtual) sessions held at least twice per week (50–55 minutes each), instruction is focused on your child’s individual needs to build skills in reading, spelling, and writing.

Using the Orton-Gillingham approach, each lesson incorporates all components of Structured Literacy as defined by the International Dyslexia Association.

I understand the hesitation—many families had frustrating online learning experiences. What I offer is very different.

Sessions are one-on-one, interactive, and multisensory. Even though we’re online, we use paper, pencil, and hands-on tools—not just the screen. I make sure your child is comfortable with the tools and knows exactly what to expect.

I monitor engagement closely and build in movement and breaks as needed to keep sessions productive.

Have questions? I’m happy to help.

Traditional “tutoring” is often short-term support—helping a child get through a specific assignment or review a skill they’re currently struggling with. These sessions are typically reactive and involve little planning or long-term progression.

What I provide is very different. Sessions are carefully planned and individualized based on your child’s specific learning profile. Instruction is structured, multisensory, and aligned with Structured Literacy as defined by the International Dyslexia Association.

The focus is on targeting underlying skill gaps—not just completing the work in front of them—so your child builds lasting skills in reading, writing, and spelling.

We begin with a short assessment phase to clearly understand your child’s current skill level, identify gaps, and set focused goals. This typically takes about two sessions and allows us to build a comfortable, supportive learning environment from the start.

From there, your child moves into structured, individualized instruction designed to create real progress. Each lesson is carefully planned to introduce new skills while reinforcing what’s already been taught—so nothing is left to chance.

For the best results, sessions are held at least twice per week to build consistency and momentum. You’ll also receive simple, practical guidance on how to support your child at home—so you’re never left wondering what to do next.

Each session is guided by a prescriptive, individualized lesson plan (following the Orton Gillingham Approach) based on your child’s current skill level. Instruction is tailored to meet your child’s specific needs, with appropriate accommodations built in.

These may include:

  • Support for handwriting, fine and gross motor skills
  • Sensory needs
  • Executive functioning
  • Attention related struggles (ADHD/ADD)
  • Handwriting struggles
  • Fine and large motor issues
  • Sensory issues
  • Executive functioning issues
  • ADHD/ADD struggles
